Job Description:
1.Conceptualize the assembly process for new products with both quality and cost considerations. Final costing should be evaluated and submitted to Manager for approval;
2.As a new product development team member, complete assembly equipment per the established timing and quality requirements. Maintain project file for assigned projects;
3.Spell out specifications and requirements for assembly processes, source for vendors to quote, coordinate the projects, test run and qualify the machine using SPC tools and complete the final setup at Molex;
4.Ensure assembly manufacture abilities are considered in product design concept stage;
5.Assist or wholly responsible for design, coordinate fabrication, assembly, debug and test run the equipment with guidance from supervisor;
6.Study existing processes information related to assigned product to acquire the knowledge. Implement design reviews and PFMEA to minimize potential failures. It comprises Process, QA and Product Design to gather all cross-functional feedback;
7.Coordinate with vendors and ensure completion date is met;
8.Build samples for new products if required during the initial period using simple fixtures or production equipment;
9.Undertake pre-production improvement of new products with production and ensure that it conforms to quality requirements; assembly processes are established and capacity are sufficient for initial production;
10.Provide documentation of tooling spare lists and training to process & maintenance engineers, technicians and operators so that they are fully competent in maintaining and running production;
11.Coordinate with process and maintenance engineering on joint projects so that it can be carried out with least problems and misunderstanding. Ensure that equipment are smoothly transferred from one group to another;
12.Assist the other teams when there are an imbalance of workloads due to urgency of other job or on leaves or reservist (All instructions will be given by supervisor / manager);
13.Continuously acquire technical skills to reduce development time and improve product quality.
Job Requirement:
1.University or college graduated;
2.Mechanical Engineering or any other technical degree/diplomat;
3.2 years in equipment design experience. Connector equipment Design is prefer;
4.1.Major in 3D CAD and computer software design;
5.2.Good English speaking / writing capability.
